Ep. 183 - Rich Fordon (Head of Content Sothebys)

Rich Fordon and I first connected at either OMBAS 2025 at Walt Grace Vintage for the Menta Watches event, or perhaps it was Rolliefest last Fall. We had some great conversation only to then see one another inside the orbit of Watches and Wonders back in April.

His appointment at A. Lange & Söhne happened to be immediately before mine, so we decided to join forces to create one large, two-time-slot-size appointments to maximize our time there. We went on to have lunch together where we were joined by none other than another previous Hodinkee employee, Jon Bues, so needless to say, we had some quality time at the venue together.

Rich is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to watches, and I was delighted to learn he would be interested in coming on this show as it seem I never have enough time with him, plus I knew nothing about his foray into watches or what he loves most. That’s all here, so I hope you enjoy it along with a small surprise by way of his time spent playing baseball.
